This is an original, limited-edition bronze sculpture by the master of Surrealism, Salvador Dali (Spanish, 1904-1989).  “Night and Day” depicts two graceful figures, one representing Night with the moon and stars on its torso; the other representing Day with the sun and puffy clouds on its torso.  Please click on the thumbnail images above to see additional views of this stunning artwork.

The sculpture was cast in bronze that has been plated with 24-carat gold and inset with colored stones, specified by the artist, to accentuate the designs on the Night and Day figures.  Mounted onto a jigsaw-cut green marble base, the sculpture stands 13¾” high by 5½” wide (35 cm high x 14 cm wide).   The two bases cleverly fit together enabling you to display them as one unit or as two related sculptures!

The artwork was created and personally approved for production by Salvador Dali in 1988.  Unfortunately, the artist did not live to see this work cast in bronze.

The sculpture is signed “Dali” on the thigh of both the Night and Day figures.  Cast into its base is a bronze license seal carrying the full signature of Salvador Dali, evidence of its authenticity as a genuine Dali sculpture. This gold-and-jeweled version of “Night and Day”, the most rare and expensive version, was available in a limited edition of just 75 castings.  The unique casting number of 19/75 is stamped into its bronze base beside Dali’s signature.  Each sculpture is accompanied by our Certificate of Authenticity as its exclusive authorized casting foundry, as well as a copy of the original publisher’s documentation.
