A most unusual and Rare Early 19th Century (1822) Oil Painting on Canvas.
Depicting a delightful sitting Terrier Dog in an interior setting and beside him is
a rather opulent large Blue & White Delftware Bowl to house his water/food.
He was quite obviously a well regarded pet to be given such an expensive “Dog Bowl”.
The painting is beautifully detailed with a chamberstick and candle together
with some glass bottles and an old lamp in the background.
Signed with initials bottom left “F.S.F.” and dated: “1822”.
Housed in a later appropriate Ebonised Wood Frame.
Condition: Would benefit from a clean and has overall crackulature, gained over time.
Displays wonderfully and such a talking point! – Totally Charming.

Framed Size: 19″ x 14.25″.
